Laughter. It's the best medicine. At least that's what someone once said. Now that the holidays are done, and everyone's various vacations are over, the staff was back together this week for the first time since late December, and you might say our first staff meeting was a "roaring" success. There was Lots of laughter. Tons of fun. And as I looked around the room and tried to bring us back to some form of focus, we all burst out laughing again. It's a crazy bunch of people here. A Great team, a group of people who love the Lord, not just with their words, but with their Actions. As I looked around the room with all of us enjoying our work and each other's company so much, I said a silent prayer thanking God for the privilege of working with such a great team. I thanked God for His gift of laughter.
Later that day laughter would rear itself again, this time in meetings and phone calls with our Board of Directors. Laughter. It really is some great medicine. At one point when several of us were wiping tears of laughter from our eyes, I again thanked God for the support and love that he has given the staff here through our amazing Board Members. You can be blessed knowing this ministry has some incredible individuals, that are a part of the team that helps to guide this ministry. And no matter how rough the waters, they never wake Jesus in the boat. They just remind us that he's there sleeping, and help us to live in the joy and peace that only comes with knowing Jesus is in our boat.
If you are struggling, If the waters are raging all around you, if anger or bitterness has overtaken the joy that used to shine from your heart, if you haven't laughed in a long time; let Positive 89.3 remind you that Jesus is on board. Let him take away all that burdens you - the anger, the sadness or despair...let him replace it with forgiveness and....laughter. If you want to start your day with the Love of Jesus Christ...and his gift of laughter, then join Your Friends in the Morning weekday mornings from 6-9 am. They've got a prescription for you....and it's from the Great Physician.
