Why do we look so forward to sleeping in on vacation, only to find our bodies (or the small furry creature we own) won't let us?  When you're a teenager you can sleep half the day away, but something changes when you get older.  Although when you have to wake up for work you can easliy hit the snooze button 14 times and still want to go back to sleep...But that first day of vacation, never fails, you're up, wide awake with no ability to fall back to sleep.

This morning I slept through my alarm, or I should say I forgot to set my alarm.  I suddenly woke up, looked at the clock realized it was 7 am, and ran to get my day started.  Normally I leave my house at 6:30 am, but 6:30 am came and went and I was still snuggled up in bed.  YIKES!  Tommorrow starts vacation for the staff at Positive 89.3...so guess what time I'll be up?  You guessed it 5 am!  And if I manage to make it to 5:30 our puppy Bailey will wake me up so I can take her out.  We normally have to wake her up at six, and drag her reluctantly out of bed to take her out before we leave, but, it never fails, on any day off, she comes to wake me up early.  Anyone want a dog?

Even though our Christmas Vacation begins tommorrow, and my small furry animal is making plans to wreck any ability I might have to sleep in....we'll still be working hard to bring you 89 hours and 30 minutes of your favorite Christmas Songs.  Songs that help keep you focused on the true meaning of Christmas.  So as you're laying awake at 5 am, wondering why you own a dog...turn on Positive 89.3 and celebrate the real reason for the Season!
